Since she was two years old, Rashonda M. Wilson held a passion for creating and designing devices that influence a better quality of life.  Her inherent knack for math and physics led her to compete in many math competitions and science fairs, where Ford Motor Company recruited her as a Ford Scholar and awarded her a full scholarship at one of the most prestigious engineering schools – University of Wisconsin-Madison.  She studied Electrical and Computer Engineering with an emphasis in Intellectual Property Law.  Upon receiving a Bachelor of Science, Rashonda joined the automotive industry as a legal expert in Intellectual Property Law. Currently, she works as a PbD engineer for Ford Motor Company, specializing in camera technology, artificial intelligence, and data privacy.  She’s a yellow belt in Six Sigma. She’s a certified Global Expert in Data Mapping Automation and PIA & DPIA Automation.  She’s also a certified OneTrust Data Privacy Professional.

As a self-identified sexual assault survivor, Rashonda developed a burden for healing sexual assault survivors, who are women from underrepresented communities and over 25 years old. Rashonda founded of I’m A Survivor, Incorporated, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe space for women of color, who are self-identified survivors of sexual assault to reclaim their voice, have access to resources, and heal spiritually and emotionally.  Rashonda’s unfortunate experience birthed a larger purpose - an impactful voice that promotes Equality, Justice, and Healing!

Aside from having a demanding work schedule, Rashonda enjoys new adventures, learning new technology, and spending time with the Ladies League of Detroit, where she serves on the newsletter committee as LLD’s videographer.
